So, after finally swapping a song with a new version, I've seen that the bokmarks from the original don't show up in the new version.

Is this always so, or a setting I've missed?

When you say swap song, did you swap in a new file and the bookmarks disappeared? If so, this is definitely a bug that needs to be fixed.

Yes, the bookmarks are not there in the new file (while the rest of the annotations have come across.
