Can external cards be used now without a lot of hassle?

Only if you select the storage directory that MobileSheetsPro requires. I haven't added code for devices running 5.0+ yet that will fix the external SD card issues on those so that any directories can be used. I need to buy a tablet running lollipop that has an external SD card slot first.

Depends on the version of Android your tablet is running.
