It would be nice to send midi messages mid song so I can switch preset/effect (chorus on/off) at the bridge of the song. Maybe with a button (or how do you call these buttons that are used to jump to another section)?

Adding little buttons that can be pressed to invoke actions is a feature that has been requested and is planned for a future update. Sending MIDI commands was one of the things I planned to support with this. Hopefully that will meet your needs.
