I have come over from an iOS app called UnrealBook. In it one could assign a "hotspot" that was a little touch box to which many commands could be attached, including MIDI.

What I'd like to do in MSP is assign MIDI commands that I can trigger on demand, rather than JUST when a song is loaded.

Can MSP do something like this? The MIDI section in the manual covering this did not have a lot of info.

Not currently, but that is something I plan on adding when time allows.
