Which screen are you seeing that on? If I toggle between the sort modes, the colors stay inverted on all the screens I've tried (on my Nexus 10 running 5.1.1).

Went back and had some other problems, turns out I had to restart the tablet which fixed the loss of the night mode [and the other problem]. Thanks for the reality check. I shall do a restart anytime I experience a problem before making a report from now on.
