MS has several methods for getting rid of annotations you've added. But how do you effectively "erase" material that's in the original .pdf?
In Apple's most-used equivalent of MS, you can essentially "white out" existing material (and then over-write it, if desired). Is there something similar in MS?
Sometimes I paint white or create a text box with a white background over the text you want to cover up.
I see, Jeffn1.
Is there a way to do this (white-out) other than with this pen tool?
Currently, no, but once I make it easy to save commonly used tool settings, it should be pretty quick to switch over to the "white-out" settings for the pen tool, draw a box over the content you want to hide, then switch back to what you were using.
All right!
Several annotation tools work fine:
- Using the text tool and setting "Fill:" to "White" instead of "None".
- the highlight tool with Color: White and Opacity: 255
- the pen tool with Color: White, Mode: Line or Freeform and a big Line Size
