I received V 2.9 this evening - same results: Local txt file import crashes while PDF loads no problem.
Txt file in question is a simple plain txt page of lyrics with chord names above.
I even attempted loading files that had already been loaded. Using Local File Import it still crashes; when done in Batch Import it identified the file as duplicate so it didn't load, but another txt file in the batch did load (as described in an earlier post).
