I'm relieved that you're able to duplicate some of the issues I've been experiencing. I will use your suggested setting on the pen tool and see if it makes a difference on my end. Thank

Changing the pen tool setting from smooth to none fixed the problem! Thanks for your persistence in finding a solution.
