WINDOWS 8??
#1
I love MobileSheets.. I mean I LOVE it, but my 10 in android is just not big enough. I tried using Bluestack this weekend and it was a disaster. Not only is it a misbehaving stack, you also lose functionality.

Is a Windows 8 version coming any time soon? Doesn't have to use the charms menu, just native Windows??

I don't think so but something like this may work for you. I haven't tried it yet, just linux on windows 7 which works fine.

The Windows 8 version is kind of stuck waiting for the Android version 5 release. Once I have released all of the features for Android, I can use that as the basis for the Windows 8 version. I'm always overly optimistic about how fast I can develop things, but the devil is in the details... I'll do my best to get something out, but it may not be for several months at the rate I'm currently going.

I guess you know this, but more and more larger Android tablets are available at reasonable prices. I guess you already have a Windows 8 tablet?

I think might be a good option (but I am just using it as a back up):

how is the video and battery life on it?

I don't use it for video. I know there is a video review at Amazon that said it's battery does not last as long as another similar 13 inch tablet, but it does have more internal memory and I think its laid out better (plus it has bluetooth capability, which I don't use).

I can't really confirm how long the battery lasts. I suspect that it would last long enough for any gig using just mobilesheets (especially if you turn off wi-fi, etc.), but I can't confirm it.

There is someone else on the forum who uses it as his main tablet. Last post he said he was very happy with the Hannspree. But maybe track down that post and ask him. He likely has more information than me (because I just bought it as a back up for my Toshiba Excite 13--which is no longer sold and I would not recommend it anyway).

OK.. I like this application so much, and I find MusicReader so clumsy and difficult, I pulled the trigger on the HANNSPREE 13.3-INCH tablet.

Thanks!!

Thanks Jeff!! I got the Hannspree 13" and it's perfect for this app. I wish I would have gotten this information sooner!

Do you know if it will upgrade to Android 5 so that I can run the next version?

Version 5 is a new version of MobileSheets - it will continue to support Android OS versions 2.2 and higher. You won't have to change anything on your Hannspree to get the update.

Has anyone tried running MobileSheets on their Windows Tablet using BlueStacks? I'd be interested in know how well it works....if at all.

I've tried using Bluestacks with my surface pro. It works ok, but the way that Bluestacks acts, I have to double click everything. That's with all apps but not always consistent...
