FTP cloud storage
#1
Hi

I'm in an choir and I personally hvae been using MobileSheets for my self and it has raised few eyebrows how well it works, how ever we need an feature that will allow us to keep our music catalouge in an online folder that is not loced by MFA since many will hvae to access it, it is really easy to do with an ftp area that can have one common acces for read access and the editors (conductor) have diffrent access. This is the only thing that is troubling us in this.

Sorry, what is troubling exactly? Access is determimed by the users login to the ftp server . . . as has been the case for decades (or I missed something).

I do plan on adding more options for importing/exporting files, such as webdav, more cloud services, ftp, etc. It will just take some time, and in the meantime, you can use an external app through the System File Browser to potentially access your files over FTP.

What you are missing is that multiple people can use one ftp user/access since there is no MFA ,where cloud services have various complications on sharing access and only one can use each access due to MFA.

That is really good to hear, the go around does not suit all in the choir, they are not all really tech literate :-)
Thank you, I look forward to following new features.

Much like any security model, it's only as good as the users. Sharing an ftp account is a user breakdown, not a flaw . . . and I thought the idea *WAS* to give multiple users access. It's not like music is a state secret that merits the excesses of MFA, esp. not for read only access . . . A lot of times, it's a solution in search of a problem . . .
