I recently purchased the windows version to use on my laptop. It will primarily be used to more easily make edits to songs, then push changes to the ipad.
On pdfs I am entering a line of chords above the written music. I often prefer to use the text mode and make a line of chords, lining up with the vocal notes. It's much faster than dropping individual chord icons in stamp mode.
My issue: I chose the condensed font and clicked where to start. I typed a couple of chords with as many spaces as needed to line them up with the music. As I added chords, they wouldn't show up as I typed them. I didn't have any border, but I played with dragging out the text box to the right, then they appeared. So the box is not stretching along with the typing. That's one thing.
Then I realized that the letters, while typing the text are using the default font, instead of condensed, which I chose. This makes it impossible to line up with the music. When I switch to the arrow to select the whole text box, the font is correct. And in this case it means that the spacing is shrunk to the condensed size. So I have to go back to the typing mode where it stretches out to the default spacing and I have to guess out many spaces to add to get the chords to line up right, then go back to select mode where the text changes back to what it's set to and I see if I got it right and we go back and forth multiple times. Not very efficient!
Another odd thing, the boxes that show a selected color for font or fill are white, on all my favorites that have selections previously made on the ipad and imported the first time I loaded the db on the windows machine). When I click on the square to choose a color, all the circles show that white and gray checkerboard with a thin colored border. After choosing a color, the sample letter displays in the color chosen, but the square still stays white. The fill square works properly.
The bigger issue hindering productivity, however, is the font not displaying correctly in typing mode.
None of this happens on the ipad.
