Spent about 4 hours today putting fingerings into a setlist of scores, only to find that when I went back to them this evening most of them had disappeared. Checked the layers and there was nothing in there, they had just vanished. 

Anyone else had this behavior?

Did you enable the option to automatically embed the annotations? I can't think of any other setting that could cause an issue. Do you have "Allow editing of embedded PDF annotations" enabled?

I have Automatically embed turned off and Allow Editing of embedded turned on. Most strange because it seems only to be a chunk of the day’s work was lost. Earlier and later annotations are all there, just a chunk in the middle.

That is incredibly strange... I wish I had an answer for you about exactly what happened, but without detailed information about the sequence of events and the state of the app during that period, I would just be guessing at possibilities. I've certainly never seen the app not store annotation changes I've made.
