not allowed to install on my Windows laptop - skmojak - 03-24-2025 I purchased MobileSheets in the Google Play store and installed it on my Samsung tablet. But am going to exchange the tablet, so I want to be sure that I have all my library saved with the changes and notes I have made. But I do not have Mobile Sheets on my windows pc laptop. So I went to the Google Play store and opened Mobile Sheets. It said "This app is available for all your devices" and so I click on "Install on more devices" but then it says "No eligible devices for app install". It shows my phone and my tablet. But I cannot figure out how to get it on this laptop, as there is no option to add another device. I have also tried to just sync my music library from my tablet to my laptop by clicking on Sync Library> sync to a device but nothing happens as the settings don't match and I don't have MobileSheets on the laptop. I've also tried to Connect to Companion but my laptop offers a connection through a Personal Area Network (Access Point or Direct Connection), neither of which seem to connect. Meanwhile, my tablet says "Waiting for Connection to PC". The User manual has been of no help. RE: not allowed to install on my Windows laptop - Zubersoft - 03-24-2025 The Windows version of MobileSheets is sold and distributed separately through the Microsoft Store or through my FastSpring store. The Google Play Store is only used for the Android version for Android devices. If you want to sync, you can use Sync Library->Synchronize to a cloud folder, otherwise for the WiFi option, you need to have MobileSheets running on both devices. The companion app should work, but you have to download and install the companion app on your laptop: https://www.zubersoft.com/mobilesheets/companion Go through these steps if you have a connection issue: If you are using the latest versions of both the companion app and tablet app, then the connection issue is most likely caused by a firewall issue. There are usually only a few things you need to look at: 1) On Windows 10, go to the settings for your current network. One way of doing this is clicking the network icon in the taskbar at the bottom right corner in the Windows taskbar, then click on "Change connection properties", and on the dialog showing the network settings for your current network, click "Private". If "Public" is selected, it can cause packets to be blocked. On Windows 11, go to Settings->Network & internet, click "Properties" at the top right below the name of your ethernet or wifi connection, then change the network profile type to "Private network". 2) Next, go to Windows Firewall, click "Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall" and make sure both private and public are checked for MobileSheets Companion 3) If you still can't connect to your Android device after performing steps #1 and #2, then if you have anti-virus or firewall software running, you should try disabling them to see if they are interfering with the connection. 4) The last thing you should try is rebooting your router. This fixes connection problems frequently for users If that still doesn't help, try performing a direct connection by clicking the Connection dropdown in the companion app, selecting Manual WiFi Connect, and then entering the IP address shown on the Android device.
