Which USB to android midi interface do you recommend? - jkuehlin - 05-15-2019 I need to try and figure out how to get Mobile Sheets to accept Midi commands from MainStage. I understand that it won't accept them directly from the mac via a USB cable. Is this possible on a Galaxy Tab A? I'm currently running Android 5.0.2 I would like to use MainStage to navigate the Mobile Sheets setlist. If this is possible, what hardware do I need to do it? Thanks RE: Which USB to android midi interface do you recommend? - Zubersoft - 05-16-2019 You'll probably need to use a MIDI hub/interface to forward the messages between the two. Something like the mio2 or mio4 (https://www.iconnectivity.com/products/midi/mio2). For further clarification - is it possible to simply connect the Galaxy Tab A directly to the MacBook then transmit/receive patch changes from MainStage via a USB cable? Do I have to use an additional interface? RE: Which USB to android midi interface do you recommend? - Zubersoft - 05-17-2019 No, that's not possible with Android 5.0.2. With Android 6.0+, it's possible if MainState supports virtual MIDI ports. Otherwise you will have to have an additional interface. Mike |
