This may be discussed somewhere elsee, I couldn't find it.

In the manual I see references to an Instrument field in the Metadata. But in the app I don't see an Instrument field.

I do, however, see there is a Custom field. Are these both the same?

I'm in the process of updating the manual. The instrument field was replaced by the custom field. You can use the custom field to store song instruments if you want, or any other piece of data that you want to be able to filter on.

I also do not have an instrument field....is there a way to add it instead of the custom field? Is there an update that will do this? I just purchased MobileSheets a week ago and loving it so far.

I'm afraid at this point I've already pulled the instrument field out of the database, and changed everything around to support the custom field. Most people requested the custom field over the instrument, as not many people play more than a few instruments. You can always use the source type as a pseudo-replacement for the instrument field if you only have a couple of instruments.
