Is there a way to add "recent songs" to the filters when editing a collection or a setlist? Often it is the recently played songs which are added to these groups.

Also is it possible to have songs that are played in setlists to be added to "recent" rather than the name of the setlist?

Not at the moment. You can go to the recent tab, long press a song to select it, tap the three dots at the top right and add it to a setlist or collection though. You can select multiple songs at once by tapping each one after selection mode has started.

If you set Library Settings - Always Load Whole Setlist to OFF, the songs will be added to Recent instead of the setlist
