Hello,
I have been using this application for a year and appreciate it because it is complete (and there is nothing else worthwhile on my surface pro...),
however, I would have liked to see two or three additional options: (sorry for my English, I am French)
- I would have liked to be able to disable the shortcuts when clicking in the bottom right corner, I was surprised in the rush to have these shortcuts displayed instead of turning the page...
Or, you would have to change the method to make it appear.
- I would have liked to be able to differentiate between import and opening: I often decipher scores, it would have been great to be able to use the application as a simple reader and not with tedious import which requires the file to be deleted from the library afterwards.
- When you opened a score with annotations, it would have been nice to have an option, save as… with the possibility of choosing the pages you want to include.
The only solution for the moment is to print in pdf format and it is very very slow… because sometimes, I annotate the scores for students on a single page for example that I want to share with them...
- And lastly, although it is less important, the interface is really ugly and old-fashioned!
Think about modernizing it when you can, it's crazy to have such a visual in 2024, you would think it was 20 years old...
Otherwise it is complete and functional, it seems stable to me too!
There you go, I don't know what you think?

1) I'm assuming you are talking about the quick action box. Just go to Settings->Touch & Pedal Settings->Touch Actions and switch the Quick Action Box to "Disabled".
2) MobileSheets is a library management tool - not just a PDF viewer. You can always just temporarily open the file in any other PDF viewer on the device if needed.
3) As far as annotations, I'm not really understanding what you are asking for. If you annotate the score and want those annotations exported, you can either use Share->Export Files, or you can embed the annotations permanently in the annotations editor and then just share the original PDF from the storage location. Being able to export only a specific set of pages is something I do plan on adding at some point, but it's a little tedious because then the user has to know exactly what pages they are wanting to export, which is hard to know if they don't have a preview, requiring a completely different kind of UI more akin to a print preview. It's better to just make a copy of the song, change the page order to the pages you want, export that, and then delete the copy.
4) I've always prioritized functionality over aesthetics. I'm just a single developer managing everything, so if I'm focused on trying to make the app pretty, then I'm not focused on delivering new features people are asking for. I do plan to have an update that focuses on improving the aesthetics (i.e. switching to Material Design 3 as mentioned elsewhere on the forum), but for now, I'm trying to finish giving users features they are asking for first. Sometimes improving the aesthetics diminishes the functionality if settings now require more taps to get to, for example. If improving the UI is actually going to make the app better in some ways, then I'm always all for that, but just making it look nicer only matters for the initial impression people get. Once you get used to using the app, you care very little about the aesthetics after a while, and care much more about the app doing the things you need. That's my take anyways. I know appearance matters a great deal to some people and they won't use an app that looks outdated graphically.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your answer!
1) It's perfect, sorry, I hadn't seen the option to disable the quick action box.
2) I do indeed view the scores on Adobe Acrobat when I do sight-reading but it's still much less comfortable.
3) This is exactly what I wanted to see: the ability to export one or more specific pages with annotations (without going through a PDF print because on Windows it's slow...). But I understand the difficulty to programming this...
Besides, it would have been nice to be able to share the file without closing the score (for example, by clicking on the small arrow in the lower left corner).
4) Oh, I thought you were a whole team for the development of this application. Well done then, because it's great work!
Continue to focus on features, it's obvious that it's the priority! That said, if one day it can be modernized, that would be great!
Have a nice day!

OMG. This is industry leading software, 20 years ahead of anybody else. Revolutionising music performing in many ways.
I appreciate simple look and important features it can offer. Similar to why I appreciate Total Commander!
Anyway 99% of the time I'm looking at the sheet music while using the MobileSheets in fullscreen mode.

I like the design of present MS also, because of its clear (old-fashioned!) design, highly efficient, easy to find your way around.
Don´t need any new-fashioned *blinkblink*. MS defines(!) the-state-of-art, other apps are miles away.
The support is unbeatable, big hands to Mike!

Regarding the UI, it's one of the things I really *like* about MobileSheets! So many things have gone to a set of incomprehensible pictures/icons and/or unrememberable gestures . . . I prefer a clearly understandable UI is a language of my choice.
Just my $.02 . . .

Fully agree. Always better to have substance over glamour than glamour over substance.
Actually I like the interface and don't consider it ugly at all. That's just personal taste of course. But indeed I consider some oldfashioned appearance more of a virtue in today's superficial world.

I'm happy for the UI to remain as it is. If you want to see a truly awful UI, check out Band in a Box!
