Windows-Android/iOS-Kemper Profiler
#1
Hi Mike,
I'm planning to establish this process:
In my "master" Windows Mobilesheets environment, I'd like to map specific songs with specific performances (the Kemper-profiler's sound presets basically).
Opening a song in MS is then expected to "automatically" select a performance and its first slot in that 5-slot performance bank.
Not from Windows though, but from an Android tablet or iOS phone. I never touch the settings on those satellite devices, all that is done in the Windows version only.
The bluetooth dongle "CME Widi Master" (yet to be purchased) would go into the Midi IN & OUT ports of the Kemper.
Can I define the Midi-Settings (mapping a song with a "sound" of the Kemper) in MS Windows, and the restoration of the Windows backup file in Android and iOS will include all necessary settings so that both devices (either or) can send the commands to the Kemper? I assume the tablet and the phone just require a separate initial "introduction" to the dongle. As would have to be done between Windows and the dongle, of course.

The other way around, selecting a performance directly in the Kemper triggering the loading of a song in MS, would also be possible I take it.

Thank you!  a

Yes, you can restore a backup and it will contain all the MIDI commands you set up on your Windows device. You just need to go to Settings->MIDI Settings->Configure MIDI Connections on the tablet and phone to establish the connection to the Kemper. You can have bidirectional communication and either load a performance on the Kemper or have the Kemper load a song on the device when a performance is selected (assuming it sends out MIDI messages when this occurs).

Thank you Mike.

Would this have to be done each time the Windows-produced backup is restored on the tablet/phone?

Yes if you check the option to restore settings, no if you uncheck that option.

Thanks for the super fast reply. Yes, that's my default setting, "Include MS Settings" and "Restore Settings", both checked.
Looking forward controlling the "stomp box" from Mobilesheets!

You would want the "Restore Settings" unchecked if you don't want to have to reconnect the MIDI device each time.

Thanks, all clear now!
I'll try to define a Midi connection in the MS settings for the Windows tablet to the Kemper, let's see what happens with those Settings on the tablet & phone.
Probably won't work, thus will do as you suggest.
