Just to say, I wasn't actually blaming the cheaper tablets, merely wondering if there might be some sort of connection there? I don't doubt the problem exists for some users, but I have yet to see it here.
Obviously, the less something costs, there has to be some sort of saving in manufacturing costs somewhere along the line - less screen resolution, smaller memory, etc. - and I was wondering if there were some more subtle differences that could result in this problem.
Mike's comment about the number of pages being cached might also have something to do with the problem - AIR, earlier versions cached only half the number of pages, thus tying up less memory. I wonder if it is possible to define the number of cached pages through the settings menu? This might well solve the problem.
