I'm not too sure that a tuner is good idea. Not because of any added complexity, but because of practicality.
I have a tuner on my tablets and they work by listening to the sound they hear through the microphone. This csn work, but only in a relatively quiet environment - try it on a gig or rehearsal, with lots of ambient noise, and they are useless. Much better to use a dedicated device and they're very cheap these days.
