It appears that it is possible to control the mouse in Android O (I think the latest Chromebooks use this). Android O feature spotlight: Apps can finally capture the ...
Of course, that still leaves all the other versions without this capability so it depends whether you think it is worth the coding/effort to make it work (assuming that it does!)
