No problem is a brightly lit room. Although I haven't needed to try it, I suspect it would be OK in daylight (although I suspect direct sunlight would be pushing it a bit too far).
It does have BT, although I don't use it. I prefer to use a wired USB pedal - one thing less to go wrong
