Yes, if you either use the Swap PDF option from the library screen pop up menu (press and hold) or you just manually remove the current file, and drop the new one, the existing song will stay intact. If you manually remove the file and add the new version, the page range (start page - end page) will be reset. If you use the Swap PDF option, I believe I tried to keep the page ranges set, unless the range goes outside of the pages of the new document.
