Thanks for the feedback everyone - it really helps having the support. I think I'm still going to push for getting annotations in as soon as I can, and once they are in, I'm raising the price of the app. I've promised too many existing users that capability, and I don't think it's fair at this point to suddenly charge them to have access to it. After annotations are released though, I'll take a long hard look at what is worth charging for as an add-on, and what sort of features i might be able to put into a pro version. I may even consider simplifying the product a great deal by removing a lot of the advanced features, and market a "lite" version for people that don't need the bells and whistles.
You don't have to worry about me burning out though. I would never consider abandoning my users, much less a product I've worked so hard on and has so much potential. I'm also lucky in that I truly enjoy programming, and just happen to make a living off it
