@BRX: I am confused about your remark " So no additional support of ABC is necessary (as I previously thought)?" I do not know anything (nor care) about Chord Pro, I just want an .abc file to be rendered just like a .pdf.
I did make a copy of one of my abcs, saved the copy as a .cho and added the frames you suggested. MSP would in the current version simply display the abc as text as is. I want to see the dots in staff notation and thought that that was what abc integration would mean. Am I wrong, or do we need the ChordPro detour to actually do the rendering then? How would ChordPro come into the game then? How could we use .cho and .abc identically if the former require a frame around the abc and the latter don't?
