Sure thing. You'll definitely have much wider grids with 4x8, as MobileSheets will make room for the 32 instances of the maximum cell size that would be needed with the current font size. If you plug that into the ChordPro app itself, it just lets each column of the grid bleed into the grids beside it (with the default settings) due to the extreme width required. So I'm not sure if you'll really want to use 4x8. Regardless, I'll have to reconsider the maximum cell size used at the moment, and calculate the scenario where the cell size causes the grid to go offscreen. In that scenario, I'll have to forcefully shrink the cell sizes down which could cause characters to overlap each other.
