You should ignore the Network Session 1 as you are connecting over USB. You should see the Digital Workstation 1 entry under input ports, and the Digital Workstation 1 and 2 ports under output. Do you see those over USB? If so, did you make sure to check them? If so, please go to the Songs tab, tap "New" go to the MIDI tab, tap the third icon on the right to bring up the MIDI listen dialog, then press a key on your keyboard. Does something show up in the dialog? This will help us determine whether or not MIDI messages are actually being received.
If you do not see those ports show up under input and output, then something is wrong with your USB cable or the adapter you are using.
