Thank you, Mike for sticking with this one and for your concern. Daughter had emergency gall bladder surgery on Tuesday, so a long week. She’s recovering beautifully so we’re all really pleased with that.
In other (good) news, I got MS and GP working together today. Super cool! I did replicate your test above and after some fiddling and a move from loopMIDI back to loopB1, I finally got a command through from GP to my MS test set. There was much rejoicing. I was able to take your CC 9/5 and address a couple of other songs with 10/5 and 11/5. It was repeatable!
My critical user mistake was using the wrong song properties menu in GP. I was using the one near the bottom of the setlist menu for PC, when I noticed the properties menu at the VERY bottom of the menu. Here, I set up a CC change (9/5) on channel 16 through loopB1 and was immediately in business.
I have a bunch of songs to set up now that I have it cooking. What’s a good clean practice for assigning CC messages? Use unused #s and build from there? I’m thinking of just leaving 9/5, going back to 9/1 and fwd. to 9/127. Is there a smarter way to think about it?
Now, I’m pressing on to display settings, auto scroll, etc. I’m using a foot switch to advance through song/song parts in GP, my wish would be to have each song auto scroll in MS once I advance to it in GP. Had this working tonight, but quite a bit more playing and experimenting is needed.
Really loving this product, Mike! With all of my band’s music now in GP, this is the last step to migrating away from Camelot Pro. It’s been a journey since April, but with a 1/10/25 gig looming, the pressure to be ready is healthy and totally do-able.
Thanks again!
Paul
