It's set up that way for users that already have the audio files present on both devices and don't want to create very large backups for no reason. Unfortunately, stripping the audio files from the library would require executing SQL queries on the database itself (if you want to do it in a few steps). I can walk you through that if you want to proceed with that.
Another thing you can do is, on the second device, go to Settings->Other Settings and set "Disable Audio Player" to "Always". Then you won't see any errors as the audio player won't even be used.
