iPad Battery Drain when MS is in Background?

I always close MSP down when I stop using it for the same reason (android)

I don't know about you but I always have the metronomne running when songs are displayed and this also puts a significant drain on the battery (I suspect the metronome is still running when the tablet case is closed and MSP hasn't been shut down)
