Yet another user with Android TV box here 
This is how I use it: on my Roland FRP-Nuvola I replaced sheet music holder with custom 3d printed vesa monitor mount and hooked up 21" monitor with android tv box.
I didn't like the tablet option as large tablets are extremely expensive, and you can get a used monitor + android tv box for less than $100 and you can get much larger screen!
I use my Roland left and middle pedals to turn pages and usb trackpad connected to android box to navigate in the app.
Mike has kindly provided an apk that actually worked! I am super happy now!
