I think he just wants keyboard shortcuts so he can switch between tools and favorites using something like Alt + T to select the text tool, for exmaple. It's something I can consider, but making it configurable is a lot more work, so I'll have to table it for a later date if users want it to be configurable. If I want to just hardcode some defaults for now, that won't take as long.
