It also took years of work to port the app from Android to iOS, as it's written natively for iOS for the best compatibility and performance. Additionally, I spend a considerable amount of time maintaining the iOS version and every new feature I add has to be implemented specifically for each OS, as different frameworks are used on each platform. So purchases for each platform help support development for that platform.
