Others have mentioned using separate libraries. Let me explain how that works for my wife. By day she is a piano teacher so she needs only her classical piano pieces available to her. On Sundays and rehearsal evenings she is the piano player at church and so only needs church songs.
By keeping each of these two as separate libraries, I keep my iPad up to date with church stuff and do a (3 dots on the right hand end of the menu bar) Sync Library which overwrites her existing library of church songs with mine, hence the Sync name. If we kept her classical music as a collection in the same library, there is no way we can sync and not overwrite her classical stuff.
Check out the option to have separate libraries for us it is the perfect way to have such different music to hand.
