I would like this a lot. I think I would prefer an icon next to the bookmarks, metronome, etc. (with similar behavior).
Perhaps missing tabs could be dealt with by not allowing those links to work (have the information visible but gray). Include a note that the tab needs to be enabled in the settings for the links to work.
I think I already have all of the tabs enabled because I use them to help with keeping the metadata clean and organized.

Oh yes I agree with this suggestion. The icon probably would go better on the bottom. The bottom of the tablet is more easily accessible than the top because you're probably holding the tablet near the bottom, so your thumb can touch the icon more easily. Or if the tablet is sitting on a music stand, the bottom is much closer and more reachable to the player than the top is. 



However, there's also the option of just opening up the pop up by clicking on the title of the piece itself at the top (currently, clicking the title does nothing, so it's available). That has the advantage of not cluttering the screen with more icons than it already has. Both options have pros and cons :-)
