Yes, I did open the Annotations/Toolbar/Layer menu, and I know I can select every layer and every element.
1) Yes, I know I can delete only ONE element, but I wanted to know if I can LOCK an element. That is a logical question. Let's say I for example want to erase a small part of element 1 without touching the underlaying element 2, which makes it logical to lock element 2, ai. prevent it from being edited.

3) ah, yes... That is an option! Choose an element (in the score), CUT it, choose another layer in the Layer menu and PASTE the element back into the score. I think it would have been much faster and elegant, however, if you could just drag and drop an element from one layer to another within the Layer menu.
