I use the TCL Nxtpaper 14 since one month, buyed at the "big A.....", I´ll give you a short personal review.
First,
if you want to buy it via A....., whatch the prices, they changes every 2-3 days. Today the price is € 546,25,....rather high.
Watch out, there are offers about 420,00, but it´s not clear if these are refurbished and always without cover and pen.
I bought the full offer tab+pen+cover+charger.
Why I bought it:
There are situations where up to 3 musicians have to look at one tablet -> the bigger the better.
And this is the one and only reason, I just use it for mobilesheets (mike should get a fee from TCL). It´s to big just "for fun".
The tab works as expected, but don´t expect a lot of individual settings. This reminds me more to a (samsung) tab 15 years ago, approximatly.
(despite Android Version 14).
Pen works ok, magnetic. You can adhere it on the side of the cover. BUT: it is very weak. A small rubber band is included, just has no sense, because
it is not reasonable usable. (I expected a position as on the pictures, but failed). Obviously it´s not easy to get the pen as a spare part. So, watch out the pen.
The three nxtpaper modes work, especially if you are using it a long time the paper mode is a pleasant mode (eye gently).
Sound: ok, the built-in booster doesn´t convince me.
Annoying: if you change the display mode a sound will be played, it´s not possible to disable it (just if you set volume to 0).
Needs nobody.
Charging with the delivered charger: fast, app. 1%/min (30%->100% app 80 min)
A full accu works about 8-10 hours (app. the same time as a e.g. Samsung S7; used with mobilesheets, rehearsal)
No SD-Slot, no SIM-Slot.
(I - usually - use just tabs with SD-Slot, in case of a tab´s defect, I just have to replace the SD-Card to another tab)
All other things are as you can expect from a contemporary tablet. "Power" is enough for my usage
(app. 5500 songs, backup file is app. 10GB incl. audio), mobilesheets works fluent, no jerky/or whatelse....
The screen ratio is 3:2, matches DIN-A4 almost perfect.
Summarized:
If you really need a 14" tab for mobilesheets/scores/..... it´s ok. My experience is, a 12.4" tab is big enough for most of users,
My main tablet is 12,4".
e.k.
