Without copies of a library and sync folder that will reliably reproduce the problem, I'm going to have to find time to set up a library that can reproduce this issue while synchronizing. That may be the only way for me to get to the bottom of what is happening. If my tests don't recreate the conditions created by your library, then I may never see it, as I certainly don't recall ever seeing that during my testing before.
