If you were inside the collection or setlist on the library screen, then tapped the three dots at the top right, then tapped "Add Placeholder",  all you would need to do is enter a name and you have your empty song.

Mike - you are absolutely correct.  My mistake was, having done that, I was then placing text on the placeholder page - which obviously takes more time.

In retrospect, that was absolutely unnecessary and I withdraw my original comment (and feature request).
