I believe in the current version, my intention was for the metronome to turn off if the song changes. In the next version (v5.0), I think the way it's implemented right now, the metronome will stop if the song changes, unless you set up the metronome to "auto-start" for the song. Having said that, I think the right behavior is probably to keep the metronome playing during song switches, so I will address this.
