Metronome shuts off between songs in setlist

Hi Mike,

Thanks for replying!

Yes I do think that would be the preferred behavior (I'll refer to it here as "global on/off"). Especially drummers (those that use metronome live and are sheet readers - most of the really good ones do/are) would love this. I'm not a drummer myself though - but I do know a couple of them who think this is the biggest disadvantage to MS at the moment...

There might be a need for an "auto-start per song" feature, but I'd think that need would be pretty "niche". Most practical situations I can think of (practice or performance) would need the metronome either on or off all the time, with a very easy/quick/accessible way of turning it on or off. Toggling it on/off should be a one-button-press action right in the overlay (not hidden in a dialog that has to be accessed first).

It might be handy to have a setting per song to "temporarily disable" the global metronome; that when the metronome is globally on, that song would still not activate the metronome (effectively overruling the "global on" setting for just that song). Useful for rubato songs. But having the global on/off toggle accessible in the overlay would go a long way for this purpose (rubato songs) too, demoting this feature to a low priority.

I hope this little brainstorm of mine helps in some way Smile

Please let me know what you think about all of this.

Also this: I'd think you probably want v5.0 to come out totally blowing people away with features and looks, but please don't get inundated by all these feature requests allowing them to delay releasing v5.0 too much. There's always v5.1 Wink

Cheers!
