What kind of device are you using?  I just did some random Googling and found posts like this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthre...?t=2750255 which suggests turning off power saving mode.

My bad...I thought I already had that info in my sig. It's there now. :-)

I have an older Samsung Note 10.1 and I don't have any power saving enabled and the screen is on (which some in that reference link thought was an/the issue). I'll try it this weekend through the PA and see if it's too annoying. It'll probably be OK since it's just a background pad.

It's definitely when the current playing sound is cut off since I tried turning off auto-start and I still heard it. Any chance of adding real quick volume fade during a song switch?
