Connection problem with update

I was connecting fine before the latest update of the companion app. When I'm now trying to connect the companion app says "Connecting to Samsung ----", but the tablet says "waiting for connection to PC"! All firewall is turned off and I'm using Wifi. Can anyone help?

I'm sorry to hear you are having connection problems now. Nothing changed in the update related to the way the software connects to the tablet software, so the problem (whatever it is), is not related to that. Did you try all of the suggestions listed in that dialog? Did you reboot your router? Have you rebooted your PC? Have you tried running the companion app with admin privileges? You said the firewall is turned off - does that mean your anti-virus firewall or Windows firewall?

Try using the manual connect method; this sometimes works for me when the automatic method doesn't display the popup.
(the IP address to use is displayed on the tablet)
