Boox Max 2 epaper display... Ok with MSP?
#1
I'm considering this tablet... https://onyxboox.com/boox_max2 it has a 13.3 ePaper display ( as used in eBooks) but otherwise is a normal Android 6 tablet.  Are there any known issues using MSP with such a display? Thanks.

I'm thinking that this could be an ideal tablet for this purpose... A4 front lit black on white text and a week or two battery life.

Regards.

Interesting, but no Bluetooth for pedal turning...
I guess you could use micro USB with a wired connected pedal?
Also there is no external memory options so you have 32GB overall!
Also a little pricy for what it doesn't have...
But If the size is enough for you

Good point I'd missed that. I'll need to check that it supports OTG.  It was the battery life and the fact that it would work fine outdoors that particularly attracted me... But yes, a pricey display.

And really, 32GB isn't much... the PRO model doubles that to 64, plus it will have a micro USB for wired pedaling!

Something I'm currently working on is a version of MobileSheetsPro that is optimized for e-ink devices. As part of this, I'm utilizing the library from Onyx to improve performance while annotating. This version will be for sale through my Fastspring store once it's available, and I will allow users with an e-ink device who have purchased the standard MobileSheetsPro version through a different app store to get a license key for that version.

Not sure where did you get such a info from.
Max 2 has Bluetooth 4.0: https://ereader.store/en/onyx-boox/onyx-...ck-23.html

And it does not have front light as it has no glass. That is why it is light and durable.

Good, it was just not mentioned on the original company's page...

Very interested to hear that... When I contacted Boox they claimed never to have heard of MobileSheets. Perhaps you need some joint marketing Smile

When are you planning a release?

I can't provide specific dates but I would like it to be done some time within the next month or two. It really depends upon the level of effort involved. My main goal is to eliminate animations (which don't work well on e-ink), switch to a mostly black and white interface (to fix various theme issues) and to integrate the onyx SDK so that annotating is fluid and responsive. I'm trying to do this in between other efforts like the annotations rework.

It's already released and available on my store (https://zubersoft.onfastspring.com/). I got your email so I'll help you switch over through that.
