Can you please take a screenshot of what you are trying to do and either post it here or send it to mike@zubersoft.com? If I create a textbox annotation in the Windows 10 version, resize it so that it covers text on my PDF and set the color to none, I still see the text underneath without any problems. I'm testing this with version 2.8.6. Which version are you testing?
