When page turn animation is enabled, the entire page is shifted out to the left and the next page is shifted in from the right.
However in practice, it is more convenient if the bottom right corner remains visible during page turns, while the top left corner is already showing the next page.
Feature request: add animation of a page turn to show the next pages from the left top corner downwards, on top of the current page. The timing could be 1 second (or configurable).
This will allow the user to view the current page while previewing the notes on the next page, without the need to turn page twice (like with half page turns).
Alternatively, you could automated half page turns so that the half page is shown only for 1 second (or configurable) before displaying the full page.

This is an interesting thought that has promise IMHO.
However, something that occurs to me is when turning back for a repeat, or DS (DC would be fine I think) that's on a previous page, or jumping to a coda that's on a following page the delay of the animation might cause more problems than it solves. This is also why I steer clear of half page turns.

Interesting point: repeat (to a previous page) and DC/DS repeats.
I typically use link points to jump to a repeat/DC/DS/Coda. This works when using screen touches to jump/turn pages (I don't use a pedal, because it confuses my feet coordination).
With link points, the jump should be instantaneous, not a (animated) page turn.
The diagonal/half page turns only work if you are at the bottom of the current page and jump to the top of the other page (being next or a previous page). Repeats/DC/DS/Coda are often not-at-the-top of a page, and therefore not suitable for animated page turns (unless... the animation shows the destination of the link point first, but that would page the animation quite complicated).

It might be nice if I could use link points, but as a (primarily) trombone player touching the screen is nearly impossible, especially if I'm playing at any speed - I have to use a pedal.
I wouldn't mind trying facial gestures, but my Boox TabX doesn't have a camera and I suspect I'd have a lot of trouble managing facial movements so as not to cause erroneous turns anyway.

Let's return to the original thread content: page turn animation.

Your other post indicated that you would be fine with a half page turn that turns the other half with a delay. I'm more inclined to support that than a more complex page turn animation. I may support a page curl animation in the future, but the intent would not be to have a very slow page turn with the curl animation to allow for a preview of the next page.
