Backup Options
#1
Hello Group,

I have posted last night but somehow my post disappeared, interesting.

I would like to see if there is an alternative way of saving backup instead of having full backup saved in a file that we cannot use anywhere but in MobileSheets.

This may sound weird or insecure but as many of us invests lots of time building then editing our MobileSheet library (loooots of time) - what would happen if something goes wrong with this project, say being unsupported any longer etc?
If at least we could have the option of exporting actual files (lyrics, scores, sheets etc) as we edited them, that would be a lifesaver in case something like above happen.

Again, this is just for our piece of mind from user perspective, and performers perspective as well who wouldn't have all that time all over again to prepare, edit sort etc.

Happy gigging guys!

I save the Mobilesheets database on my computer as a backup to my tablet.

Go to Settings->Storage and enable "Expose Database"

Copy the database from your home directory on your tablet to your computer and you're all set.

If ever you want to extract the data it's just a sqlite file so you can use sqlite from the commandline to view/dump/edit it.
If you're a zombie and you know it, bite your friend!
We got both kinds of music: Country AND Western

Sciurius' MSProTools https://github.com/sciurius/MSPro-Tools contains scripts that allow unpacking the files out of MobileSheets backup files

Amazing, thanks.
I completely am satisfied with this project and I trust it as well as Mike , I just wanted to be sure we are safe in case something goes bad.
As I can see we are safe.

Thanks group !

Frank.

I downloaded several SQLite viewer apps, and all of them are giving me "file is not a database" error.
Would you be able to suggest anything for windows that could be able to do this?

Thanks
