When typing in the search bar of the library screen or library window, the results only appear about half a second after typing the last letter. This could be made to be instant, so while typing, before typing the whole song title, the song will appear in the results list and eventually the whole process will be much faster.

There is a timeout when typing characters into the search field so that filtering is not triggered over and over while typing characters, which is problematic with much larger libraries. The timeout is currently set to 650 ms, which is why you are seeing a delay. I may consider making this timeout proportional to the library size (with a minimum of 250 ms), as repeatedly filtering very large libraries makes the filtering feel less smooth.

Nice idea! I can tell you that my library has 1559 songs, and the searching in the "Find and Load Song" window (which has a very fast timeout) works very smoothly.
