You're already posting in the forum, so I'm wondering what help you need for that?

You can download the software from a number of places, as listed here - http://www.zubersoft.com/mobilesheets/downloads.html - and the Companion is downloadable directly from that same page.

first forum experience ever, unsure if I was doing it correctly.
frend help load companion on laptop and free trial on tablet last pm. downloaded one song through companion to tablet. just need time to learn to navigate through mobilesheets.

You can print out the manual. It is helpful, but you have to be aware there will be things that are incorrect (and new features added that are not mentioned in the manual) because the program has been updated a lot since the manual was created.
