I have a simple pedal that looks like this one

It's a generic brand. Scrolling with it worked well, although you couldn't adjust the scroll speed etc. in the pedal options. A few months ago some update made it that scrolling does not work well anymore. It scrolls too far and at an inconsistent amount in both directions, sometimes a lot and sometimes a little.

From what I understand, this is because the pedal is just simulating a swipe event. The pedal specs list "Signal Format ‎Analog", is this the problem?

I'm looking at some other pedals and I don't want to order one with the same problem, but one that actually works with the software pedal settings. I know about the pedals page https://www.zubersoft.com/mobilesheets/pedals/ but availability is a problem. So I would like to know what I need to verify with the seller to be sure that it works. Digital signal format?

Yes, that would be a problem. MobileSheets needs the pedals to send key commands in order for it to be fully supported. As far as what caused your problem, I added support for inertia while scrolling which makes it feel more natural, but that must have caused problems with that pedal if it's somehow generating inertia with the scroll events.

As far as the pedals you listed, the second or third should probably work okay, although I would lean toward the third over the second. Any pedal that sends key commands like page up/page down should work fine.

There is not. I could add an option like that if more users request it, but it's generally not something most users would want to do as the scrolling feels much worse without it.
